MISSION

Ensuring that food supplied to consumers is safe and quality and protect consumers from fraud against the food consumed and purchased by them.

VISION

Ensure food security and improve the integrity of the food safety and quality through shared responsibility and accountability based management system based on "tripartite" effective towards Vision 2020.

OBJECTIVE UNIT

Ensure food and beverages are safe and comply with the standards laid down in the Food Act 1983 and Food Regulations 1985.

SPECIFIC

Ensure food sold in the country to comply with the prescribed standards and obtained by the user in a state that is free of contamination, or the addition or removal is not required.
Ensure and improve the standard of food hygiene and sanitation of food premises throughout the country.
Ensure food handlers practice habits and food sanitation control procedures.
Promote ways of preparing and processing food sanitation across the country.
Ensure food exported comply with specific hygiene and sanitation and to protect and promote the food industry growing up overseas.
Ensure imported food complies with the requirements of the Food Act 1983 and Food Regulations - Food Regulations 1985.
Ensuring food advertisements do not mislead consumers.

ACTIVITIES

Conducting inspections on any premises in accordance with the quality of the food that has been set in the action plan.
Closing operation of the premises.
Make sampling the food in any food premises in such quantities in the action plan.
Food extortion operations / lacquer / confiscation.
Managing health certificate for food production for export.
Conduct investigations into the cases of poisoning.
Monitor and plan the implementation of the program in schools SELF, NS and R & R.
Factory inspection and sampling ice factory and packaged drinking water (AMB)
Conduct investigations on complaints relating to food reported.
Detain delinquent consignments imported into the country or "Undertaking"
