MISSION AND VISION
Unit AIDS / STD Health Office Gombak District is committed to monitor and ensure the implementation of the program of prevention and control of AIDS / STD Health Ministry is effective in preventing and controlling the spread of HIV / AIDS and ensure that HIV / AIDS was detected proper care, counseling and treatment particularly appropriate in Gombak district.
OBJECTIVES
- Prevention of HIV / STI transmission and control.
- Reduce morbidity among those infected.
- Mobilizing resources in combating the spread of HIV / STI.
- Establish cooperation and collaboration of various local agencies in implementing prevention and control of AIDS / STD.
GENERAL STRATEGY
- Promotion of moral values and healthy lifestyle through education programs AIDS / STD effective.
- Monitoring the situation through surveillance program HIVSTI
- Early detection and prevention of transmission of HIV infection through HIV screening services.
- Harm reduction programs (Harm Reduction) to high risk groups such as intravenous drug users and those involved in high-risk sexual activity.
- Strengthening health services / medical care such as counseling and treatment at various levels of health care such as primary health care level and hospital.

- Contact detection / Partner notification
The activities of prevention and detection of cases. Conducting HIV screening involved:
- Donor blood / organ
- Blood dependents patient
- Recipients of organ / tissue
- Foreign workers
- STD patients
- TB patients
- Coach Drug Rehabilitation Centre (PUSPEN)
- Prisoners in jail, especially "high risk"
- A worker sex workers in "direct" or "indirect"
- Civilians at high risk through voluntary screening for HIV / Untitled
- Pregnant women (PMTCT)

- Brides through Pre-Marriage HIV Screening (Pre Marital Screening)
- Clients of Harm Reduction (Harm Reduction) - a drug injection needle exchange program (SEP), methadone and condoms.
HIV screening is to enable:
