MISSION AND VISION

Unit AIDS / STD Health Office Gombak District is committed to monitor and ensure the implementation of the program of prevention and control of AIDS / STD Health Ministry is effective in preventing and controlling the spread of HIV / AIDS and ensure that HIV / AIDS was detected proper care, counseling and treatment particularly appropriate in Gombak district.

OBJECTIVES

1. Prevention of HIV / STI transmission and control.
2. Reduce morbidity among those infected.
3. Mobilizing resources in combating the spread of HIV / STI.
4. Establish cooperation and collaboration of various local agencies in implementing prevention and control of AIDS / STD.

GENERAL STRATEGY

1. Promotion of moral values ​​and healthy lifestyle through education programs AIDS / STD effective.
2. Monitoring the situation through surveillance program HIVSTI
3. Early detection and prevention of transmission of HIV infection through HIV screening services.
4. Harm reduction programs (Harm Reduction) to high risk groups such as intravenous drug users and those involved in high-risk sexual activity.

• Prisoners in jail, especially "high risk"
